How to Apply Ceramic Coating DIY Guide Download
Preparation: Start by thoroughly washing and drying the car to remove dirt and contaminants. Use a clay bar to eliminate embedded particles and ensure a smooth surface. If needed, polish the car to remove scratches or swirl marks.
Surface Cleaning: Apply a decontamination spray or panel prep solution to remove any residues, ensuring the surface is ready for the coating.
Application: Shake the ceramic coating bottle well. Apply a few drops of the solution onto an applicator pad and work in small sections (e.g., 2×2 feet). Use a crisscross pattern for even coverage.
Buffing: Allow the coating to cure for the recommended time (usually 1-2 minutes). Then, buff off the excess with a microfiber towel, ensuring no high spots remain.
Curing: Let the coating cure as per the product’s instructions, avoiding water or moisture contact during this period.
Maintenance: After curing, maintain the coating with periodic washes and avoid abrasive cleaners to preserve its durability and shine.
