Welcome to VG Auto Paints. By accessing or using this website (vgautopaints.com.au) and purchasing our products, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. If you don’t agree, don’t use the site.

We sell automotive, commercial, marine & industrial paints, coatings, and related accessories. Many of these products are professional-grade and must be used correctly and safely.

1. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

That said—we don’t offer refunds on custom made colours or if the products are used incorrectly and failed to achieve the desired results.

2. Products and Use

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Automotive paints and chemicals can be hazardous
  • You are responsible for ensuring products are suitable for your intended use
  • You must follow all manufacturer instructions, safety data sheets (SDS), and relevant laws

We are not responsible for damage, injury, or loss caused by improper use, incorrect application, poor surface preparation, incompatible products, or failure to follow instructions.

If you don’t know what you’re doing, get professional advice before using the product.

3. Product Information and Colour Accuracy

We do our best to ensure product descriptions, specifications, and images are accurate.

However:

  • Colours displayed on screens are approximate only
  • Paint colour variation can occur due to batch differences from the manufacturer of the car, machine etc, application methods, lighting, and surface preparation

We do not guarantee an exact colour match but do our best to achieve the best closed match we practically can.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST unless stated otherwise.

We reserve the right to:

  • Change prices at any time
  • Correct pricing errors
  • Cancel orders affected by obvious mistakes

Payment must be received in full before orders are processed or dispatched.

5. Orders and Availability

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.

We may:

  • Refuse or cancel an order
  • Limit quantities
  • Discontinue products without notice

If we cancel your order, you will receive a full refund for any amounts paid.

6. Shipping and Delivery

We ship to addresses within Australia unless otherwise stated.

Delivery times are estimates only. We are not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Couriers
  • Weather
  • Supply chain issues
  • Dangerous goods transport restrictions

Risk of loss or damage passes to you once the goods are handed to the carrier.

7. Returns and Refunds

We do not accept returns for:

  • Opened, mixed, or used paint
  • Custom-mixed or special-order products

If a product is faulty, contact us promptly with proof of purchase and details of the issue.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss
  • Our liability is limited to the replacement or refund of the product supplied

We are not responsible for business losses, lost profits, or downtime.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website—including text, images, logos, and branding—is owned by or licensed to VG Auto Paints.

You may not copy, reproduce, or use any content without our written permission.

10. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the site for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt to interfere with website security or functionality

We reserve the right to block or refuse service to anyone acting improperly.
