Shipping & Delivery

By placing an order with VG Auto Paints, you agree to the following Shipping Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs for your order are determined by the total weight of the items, particularly auto paint products, and the delivery destination within Australia. Due to the classification of auto paints as dangerous goods (flammable liquids), specialized handling and road transport are required, which may affect the shipping cost. The applicable shipping charges will be calculated and displayed at the checkout before you complete your purchase. For smaller, non-paint accessories, flat rate shipping options may be available. We may offer free shipping on orders that meet a certain value; the conditions for free shipping will be clearly stated at the checkout if applicable. Please be aware that deliveries to remote or difficult-to-access areas may incur additional surcharges as determined by our shipping carriers.  

2. Delivery Times

We aim to dispatch orders for items that are in stock within 1-2 business days after the order is placed. Please note that custom mixed paint orders may require an additional 1-2 business days for processing. The estimated delivery times for standard road transport of auto paint within Australia are typically between 3 to 10 business days from the dispatch date, depending on your location. These timeframes are estimates only and may be subject to delays due to factors beyond our control, such as carrier issues, weather events, or public holidays. We will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered as a result of late delivery.  

3. Shipping Methods and Carriers

All auto paint products will be shipped via specialized road transport carriers, primarily TNT and FedEx, which are certified and equipped to handle dangerous goods in compliance with Australian regulations. For other non-hazardous items, we may use other reputable carriers such as Australia Post or other suitable courier services. The specific carrier for your order will be chosen based on factors such as the destination and the nature of the products ordered.  

4. Order Processing

Orders are processed during our regular business hours, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Orders placed before a certain cut-off time on a business day may be processed on the same day; otherwise, they will be processed on the next business day. Once your order has been processed and dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number and a link to the carrier’s website, allowing you to monitor the progress of your delivery.  

5. Tracking Your Order

You can track your order using the tracking number provided in your shipping confirmation email. Please allow a few hours for the tracking information to become active on the carrier’s website after dispatch. For auto paint orders shipped via TNT or FedEx

6. Specific Shipping Conditions for Auto Paint Products

Due to the regulatory requirements for shipping flammable liquids, the following conditions apply to all orders containing auto paint:

  • Carrier: Auto paint will only be shipped via certified road transport carriers (TNT or FedEx).  
  • Packaging: All auto paint products will be professionally packaged in accordance with safety regulations for the transport of dangerous goods.  
  • Delivery Address: We cannot ship auto paint products to PO boxes or parcel lockers. A valid physical delivery address is required for all paint orders.  
  • Signature Required: For security and to ensure proper receipt, a signature will be required upon delivery of all auto paint products. Please ensure that someone is available at the delivery address to sign for the package during business hours.  
  • Shipping to Certain Regions: While we strive to deliver to most areas within Australia, there may be some remote or isolated locations where we are unable to ship auto paint due to transport limitations. If you are unsure whether we can ship to your location, please contact us before placing your order.  

7. Liability for Loss or Damage

VG Auto Paints takes utmost care in packaging your order to prevent damage during transit. However, once the order has been dispatched and is in the possession of the carrier, the risk of loss or damage passes to you. If your order arrives damaged, please notify us immediately (within 24 hours of delivery) with photographic evidence of the damage to the packaging and the contents. We will liaise with the carrier to resolve the issue. Our liability for any loss or damage is limited to the purchase price of the damaged goods.  

8. Returns Due to Shipping Issues

If your order is returned to us due to an incorrect address provided by you, or if you fail to collect the order from the carrier after a delivery attempt, you may be responsible for the additional shipping charges to have the order re-shipped. Please ensure that the shipping address you provide is accurate and complete.

9. Customer Responsibilities

It is your responsibility to ensure that you provide the correct shipping address and contact information when placing your order. You are also responsible for being available to receive and sign for deliveries, particularly for auto paint products. If you have any specific delivery requirements, please inform us at the time of placing your order.

10. Amendments to Shipping Terms and Conditions

VG Auto Paints reserves the right to modify these Shipping Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. It is your responsibility to review these terms and conditions each time you place an order.
